Vintage 5 Inch Circular Fruit / Salad Glass Bowl
This lovely, deep, Vintage 5 Inch Circular Fruit / Salad Glass Bowl is made from Pressed / Cast Glass.

The glass is extremely thick, 0.8cm, and pretty heavy!
It is in good condition with no cracks or restoration. There are a few glass nibbles on the rim of the base, and scratches and blemishes, including air bubbles, particularly inside the bowl. These don’t show up very well on the photographs, which have been taken with and without flash.
Sporting a 10-Point Star Motif in the centre of the bowl, it has scalloped edges with a deeply etched leaf pattern. I’m not sure of the manufacturer, as there is no back mark, but is likely to be European in origin.
It belonged to my Great Aunt, whom passed away in the 1990s aged 88. She always used it as a fruit bowl which sat on her sideboard. Having resided in my glass fronted cupboard for nearly 30 years, its now time to give this beautiful bowl a new lease of life and find its for ever home.
A wonderful design, which looks good with or without fruit or salad!
